London’s local authorities are critical to growth as planning authorities and the providers of local services. They shape local growth opportunities that boost the economy and work for their communities.
The London growth plan reflects local ambitions to form a city-wide approach to growth. It will unlock growth in all parts of the city.
Boroughs and sub-regional partnerships
London Councils is the organisation that brings together London’s 32 boroughs and the City of London Corporation.
Four sub-regional partnerships bring boroughs together in smaller groups: Central London Forward, Local London, South London Partnership and West London Alliance.
Sub-regional partnerships play a key role in bringing together local authorities, businesses and communities. They also manage devolved employment services on behalf of boroughs such as the Work and Health Programme and Connect to Work.
